Hydraulic Test System for Interwell
A purpose-built 12-metre hydraulic test system for controlled testing and qualification of Interwell’s casing plug technology

Overall system length
6.2 tonnes
Machine weight
The challenge
Interwell needed a dedicated system capable of replicating the mechanical loads experienced by their casing plug technology during downhole operations.
The system had to combine high torque and axial loads in a controlled and repeatable test environment, while providing the flexibility required for development and qualification testing.
Our solution
Radical Technologies developed and delivered a complete hydraulic test system designed specifically around Interwell’s requirements.
The 12-metre, 6.2-tonne system can apply up to 15,000 Nm of torque and 30 tonnes of axial push/pull force, allowing representative mechanical loading of the test equipment.
The complete system was developed by Radical Technologies – from initial engineering and calculations through detailed mechanical design, manufacturing and assembly to control software, testing and commissioning.

From requirement to working machine
Projects like this require several engineering disciplines to work together. By taking responsibility for the complete development process, Radical Technologies was able to turn Interwell’s testing requirements into a purpose-built system ready for use in their continued development and qualification work.
